Job Description

The position will primarily be responsible for the completion of preventive maintenance  and corrective maintenance work on building support equipment at the Farmington Hills and Plymouth facilities, including HVAC equipment.  The position will also be responsible for completing general maintenance requests for building and equipment repairs, including potential pipe fitting work.

This position must be familiar with preventive maintenance programs and practices for commercial building equipment including:

HVAC equipment and systems – Air Handling Units, split-system AC units, centrifugal chillers, heat pumps, exhaust fans, pumps, cooling towers, and low-pressure boilersCompressed Air equipment and systems – air compressors and air dryers

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are required:

At least 5 years of experience in Commercial Building Equipment maintenanceEPA 608 Certification (Universal is preferred)General knowledge of pipe fitting – particularly with copper and PVCPrevious forklift operation certificationPrevious aerial work platform operation certificationLockout/Tagout (LOTO) program familiarity

The following qualifications and experience are preferred:

Building Management System operation experienceEPA 608 Certification (Universal is preferred)Previous forklift operation certificationVariable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and programming experienceExperience repairing mechanical equipment – i.e. Air Handling EquipmentExperience working in teamsState of Michigan Mechanical Contractor LicenseContinuous Improvement Process (CIP) experience
