Job Description

The position will be responsible for the completion of maintenance activities at the Plymouth and Farmington Hills facilities, but primarily residing in Farmington Hills.  Their primary work is to include electrical repairs, electrical equipment installation, and electrical project work.  The position will also be responsible for completion of general maintenance activities as well as working with other technicians to complete repair activities and projects on other building systems and equipment, including mechanical systems. The position will participate in continuous improvement activities as required.

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are required:

High school diploma or equivalent5+ years of experience in Commercial Building Equipment installation and/or maintenanceState of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license3+ years work experience with Arc Flash Safety programs (NFPA 70E)3+ years work experience with Electrical Safe Work PracticesAerial work platform operation certification (current or prior)3+ years work experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program

The following qualifications and experience are preferred:

State of Michigan Master Electrician licenseBuilding Management System operation experienceEPA 608 Certification (Universal is preferred)Previous forklift operation certificationVariable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and programming experienceExperience repairing mechanical equipment – i.e. Air Handling EquipmentExperience working in teamsState of Michigan Mechanical Contractor LicenseContinuous Improvement Process (CIP) experience
