The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for an Part-Time Building Maintenance Worker for the Kentucky - Tennessee Territory, located in, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Job Summary:
Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings and equipment; Performs minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repair work; Loads and unloads merchandise in the warehouse; Performs grounds keeping work; Maintains Divisional Headquarters vehicles
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of general building and grounds maintenance practices and procedures.
Ability to learn by method of on-the-job training including ability to follow instruction.
Ability to perform routine and minor repair and maintenance activities of buildings and grounds.
Ability to use and maintain maintenance equipment and tools effectively and in a safe manner.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or G.E.D preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment. Moderate mobility; duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
