Manager: Building Maintenance oversees a team of maintenance technicians responsible for the maintenance, repair of guest cottages, cabins and lodge rooms. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This position can perform advanced tasks on boiler equipment, electric motors, refrigeration & heating equipment, commercial laundry equipment, food service equipment, etc. The supervisor also provides technical guidance, schedules tasks, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. **Job Specifications:** + Starting Wage: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 + Department: Engineering + Reports To: Director of Engineering + Location: Grand Teton Lodge Company + Employment Type: Year Round + Shift Type: Full Time + Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age + Housing Availability: Yes **Job Responsibilities :** + Perform advanced skilled crafts in one or more specialties such as electrical, plumbing, boiler work, electrical motor repair, etc + Does various refrigeration, plumbing, heating & cooling related duties, assists in purchasing, installation, repair and maintenance of various fixtures, diagnoses and repairs electric ignition systems for heaters, furnaces, hot water heaters, commercial laundry equipment, etc + Hire, train, and supervise daily activities of 10-12 maintenance technicians, ensuring timely and quality completion of work orders + Troubleshoot maintenance issues and provide hands-on support mechanical manager. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. + Support the department in all matters of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and technician productivity. + Coordinate with other engineering teams to support facility needs. + Helps technicians; fostering skill development and adherence to best practices. + Support the department with capital projects and equipment upgrades as needed. + Participate in the EMOD rotation **Job Requirements:** + High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. + Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery. + Proficient in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. + Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. + Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). + Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. + OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus. ​We are committed to environmental stewardship and sustainability through zero waste, energy and water conservation, green dining and retail, volunteerism, and education. **Grand Teton Lodge Company offers an amazing place to live and work, as well as staff housing.** www.vailresortscareers.com The expected pay range is $50,000.00 - $55,000.00.
