Allied Universal® Electronic Monitoring, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Building Maintenance Assistant. The Building Maintenance Assistant performs custodial and maintenance duties in and around a 30,000 square foot office and industrial facility.

PAY: $20.00 / HOUR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply preventative maintenance measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems; ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner, and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlookedPerform routine maintenance in and around the buildingRepair broken or leaking plumbingMaintain the building HVAC Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuriesPaint interior of building when old paint has become faded or chippedDaily spot cleaning of building Schedule maintenance with vendorsMaintain cleaning supplies and enter Purchase Order for supplies when necessaryDust blinds and cleans windowsillsClean front doorsEmpty trash containersRemove stains from carpet and floorsStock employee kitchensClean microwaves and refrigeratorsPick up trash around the buildingChange light bulbs and water filters

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of one (1) year of experience as a skilled building maintenance workerKnowledge of manual and electrical toolsMust have a working knowledge of plumbing and HVACStrong oral and written communication skills Able to use hand tools and power tools in order to make minor building repairsAttention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing, and welding
