Building Maintenance
We are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support facility upkeep and repairs. Candidates should have forklift and floor scrubber experience (ride-on, walk-behind, handheld) and be familiar with foamers, hand tools, and CIP tote hookups. Duties include minor building repairs, painting, trimming, sanitation support, and general maintenance tasks. Reliability, flexibility, and participation in annual skills training are essential. Education/Prerequisite Requirements: + Minimum High school diploma or equivalent + Sanitation Operator Skills Schedule: 1st Shift Qualifications/Requirements: + Valid forklift license; experience with floor scrubbers (ride-on, walk-behind, handheld) + Ability to perform minor building repairs, painting, and trimming + Familiarity with sanitation equipment, hand tools, and CIP tote hookups + Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail + Reliable attendance and flexibility to meet facility needs + Willingness to participate in annual in-house skills and knowledge training + Prior maintenance experience preferred, but not required Responsibilities: + Support food safety, product quality, and overall plant appearance + Follow all standard procedures, safety rules, and GMPs + Operate and maintain floor scrubbers, foamers, pressure washers, and related sanitation equipment + Perform general housekeeping, including floor/wall cleaning, targeted area sanitation, snow removal, and lawn care as needed + Set up and remove steel totes for CIP processes + Mix chemical solutions to proper concentrations and use PPE correctly + Complete sanitation tasks as outlined on the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and initial work records + Carry out minor repairs and facility maintenance, including small painting projects + Assist with training new employees on Building Maintenance procedures + Enter work orders for identified sanitation or facility deficiencies + Safely use powered equipment (forklifts, lifts, compactors, steamers, etc.) and disassemble/reassemble equipment when required + Perform special projects and other duties as directed by plant management Pay Range: $24.90 - $25.90 Steuben Foods is committed to equal employment opportunity.
