Position Summary: This position is responsible for inspecting residential construction and remodeling projects to ensure compliance with applicable building and zoning codes. Under general supervision, the inspector performs a range of routine to moderately complex inspection duties and may, with experience, assist in inspections of commercial and industrial properties. Title: Building Inspector Location: St. Louis, MO Distinguishing Characteristics: This is an entry-level technical position within the Code Enforcement Series – Building Inspection Group. + Initially focused on residential inspections, with potential to support commercial/industrial inspections over time. + Operates under established procedures and policies with periodic supervision. + Independent judgment is expected within the scope of assignments.
