Job Description

The Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment at CMI’s customer site located in Washington, DC.

Key Job Functions

Provide both PM and ad-hoc (on-demand) maintenanceOperate, repair, inspect, service, troubleshoot and maintain building mechanical equipment in a critical environment.o Chillerso Air handlerso Pumpso Motorso Cooling towerso Plate and frame systemso Package unitso Other associated equipmentPerform plumbing tasks including: o maintenance and repair on air, gas, sewage, hydraulic, and water systemso Unclogging drainso Leak and break repairs (in plumbing lines, fixtures, etc.)Troubleshoot and repair issues in electrical, lighting, and general maintenance areasMonitor the physical plant and EMCS systemSupport special events as neededProvide guest and employee escort as neededParticipate in shared maintenance duties, including emergency and minor facilities repair

QualificationsEngineer shall possess a minimum of at least 5 years of recent (within the past 7 years) experienceMust possess DC 3rd Class Engineer LicensePossess sufficient experience and proper licensing to operate plant units and systemsCognizant of prevailing standards and codes associated with positionCan read blueprints and drawingsRequires occasional work at all customer facilities in the Washington DC area.Shall be available to work overtime for special projects or events and shall be available on an emergency basis.Must be able to pass a government background check
