The Building Automation Estimating Lead leads a team responsible for the contracting, operational performance management, and continuous improvement activities for a team of automation estimators in the National Operations Center.
As a Building Automation Estimating Lead, you will:
Develop and manage the skills of your estimating team through coaching and clear communication of goals, while providing continuous feedback on their performance. Support estimating efforts as needed by preparing estimates directly when team workload, deadlines, or coverage requires additional hands-on involvement Achieve Key Performance Indicator goals in areas of timeliness, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Project Management, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on estimating requirements, priorities, and deliverables. Coordinate regularly with other National Operation Center (NOC) team leads to ensure consistency in processes, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives Drive consistency be ensuring consistent adoption of standard processes and utilization of company software Ensure appropriate staffing and employee development in the Operations Center Monitors customer satisfaction surveys and address customer issues Manages or advises on hiring, training and development, allocation and performance assessment of personnel within area of responsibility Responsible for driving with high quality standardsTravel to Siemens area offices as needed to support estimating activities, foster cross-functional collaboration, and align on project objectives. Occasional travel to the National Operations Center (NOC) headquarters in Dallas, Texas is also required for leadership meetings, training, and strategic alignment events. Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or state-recognized GED5+ years of sales or estimating experience in direct support of building automation controls systems2+ years of experience supervising direct reports Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills for coaching staff and interfacing with customers Ability to adapt to shifting demands and completing priorities from customers and internal partners to consistently manage time effectively and meet established deadlines Ability to work across cultures effectively, valuing diversity within a virtual team Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization Proficient in working with Microsoft Suite of tools and Bluebeam ReviewPreferred Qualifications:
