**About the Role:**
As a **CBRE Building Automation System Engineer** , you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of automated control systems for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including building automation and energy management systems. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and program guidance to maintain system reliability and support sustainable building operations.
This position is part of the **Engineering and Technical Services** function, which focuses on delivering preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for critical equipment and systems.

**What You’ll Do:**
Maintain a total facilities systems management program which includes all the various connected and separate electrical, mechanical, life, and safety systems that are operational in a facility.
Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to system operations and work safety.
Inspect systems to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves operational conditions prescribed by the client.
Be responsible for scope development, work request initiation, scheduling, and inspection of work performed by outside contractors, which includes proprietary work, licensed installations, upgrades, and maintenance and inspection of specialized systems.
Review assigned work orders. Estimate time, and resources, and order necessary materials to finish the repairs.
Perform assigned repairs and emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
Participate in all related programs & activities as required. This includes incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment.
Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job subject area and broad knowledge of several job subject areas within the function.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Licenses or certifications as may be required by local applicable law or ordinance. Prior experience leading shifts preferred.
+ Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and control theory. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and PLCs is essential.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Ability to take a new point of view on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks optimally combined with an advanced inquisitive attitude.

is or $48.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is
$54.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate
will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
