Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Build Systems Engineer to develop and maintain build systems for embedded software projects. This role requires optimizing build performance, managing cross-compilation workflows, and integrating build systems into CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate closely with embedded developers to manage dependencies and troubleshoot build issues across various platforms.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the build systems for embedded software projects.Optimize build performance and manage cross-compilation workflows for embedded targets.Integrate build systems into CI/CD pipelines and support automated testing frameworks.Collaborate with embedded developers to manage dependencies and build configurations.Troubleshoot build issues across multiple platforms and toolchains.Maintain documentation and provide guidance on build processes and tooling.Essential SkillsHands-on experience with build systems in embedded or systems-level environments.Proficiency in embedded programming languages: C, C++, or Rust.Familiarity with cross-compilation, linker scripts, and embedded toolchains.Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.Strong understanding of version control systems (Git) and build automation.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or bare-metal development.Familiarity with hardware debugging tools and simulators.Exposure to containerization (Docker) and cloud-based build environments.Knowledge of build performance profiling and optimization techniques.Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Plano, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
