Join our dynamic Forecasting, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team within Marketing and Franchise Development, supporting US Personal Banking. This Analyst role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical financial processes, specifically overseeing Marketing Expenses and Customer Incentives. You will be instrumental in managing US Marketing spend through monthly forecasting and reporting, providing valuable insights to drive strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:
**Financial Forecasting & Planning:**
+ Gather and integrateforecastsand plan inputs for Marketing Expenses and Customer Incentives from various organizational stakeholders.
+ Lead the monthly marketing expense and contra-revenue forecasting process across diverse lines of business (Cards, Retail, Citi Retail Services, and Mortgage).
+ Develop and present comprehensive forecast reports for each marketing focus area, distilling complex data into clear, senior-level presentations.
+ Proactivelyidentifybudget risks and opportunities, recommending strategies tooptimizemarketingspendingthrough reinvestment or reallocation.
+ Close monitoring of accruals and proficient reporting of expenses, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
+ Support the preparation of annual plans and long-range planning initiatives.
**Stakeholder Collaboration & Partnership:**
+ Cultivate strong partnerships with Marketing teams, Finance, Controllers, Product Management, Operations, and Analytics to ensure alignment and effectivefinancial management.
+ Collaborate withkey partners/stakeholdersand lead cross-functional projects related to reportingautomationand process transformation.
**System Enhancement & Project Management:**
+ Work with the proprietary Marketing Expense platform (Marketing Resource Management) on system enhancements, contributing to ideation, gathering, and documenting business requirements.
+ Manage individual project responsibilities, including milestone setting,taskand action management, and coordinating project execution to meet timelines and quality expectations.
+ Foster andmaintainrelationships with business stakeholders, support, testing, and development team members.
+ Identifyand manage project risks to resolution, escalating asappropriate.
**Strategic Impact & Compliance:**
+ Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and team members on marketing expense management.
+ Operate with a limited level of direct supervision,demonstratingautonomy and initiative.
+ Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to company policy, and applying sound ethicaljudgment.
**Qualifications:**
+ 6-10 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or as an expense analyst, preferably within the Financial Services or Investment Banking industry.
+ Advanced working knowledge of the full cycle of expense management, including proficient reporting of expenses and a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
+ Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong skills in creating executive presentations.
+ Proficiencyin data visualization and the ability to analyze large, complex datasets to create impactful reports.
+ Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
+ Master’s degree preferred

**Business Acumen:**
+ Broad understanding of consumer banking and the key drivers of P&L.
+ Proven ability to lead process transformation initiatives, driving efficiency and improvement.
+ Project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
