Join us and be part of a global team that’s passionate about driving innovation and making a difference. **Your role and responsibilities** As a Brand Technical Specialist for Power and Cloud Portfolio, you will apply your sales and product expertise to close business for IBM, often in conjunction with Business Partners. You will match IBM solutions to client requirements and sell IBM offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners. This role involves delivering solution design and Proof of Concept for various Cloud offerings, including Application Modernization, Business Continuity & Data Resiliency, Cloud Migration and Cloud Native solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop and Maintain Expertise in a designated set of IBM offerings to effectively match solutions to client requirements and stay competitive in the market. • Sell IBM Power Systems line of offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners, applying sales and product expertise to close business for IBM. • Understand Competition and develop appropriate winning sales strategies to drive business growth and success. • Collaborate with Business Partners to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging joint expertise to deliver value to clients. • Match Solutions to Client Requirements: Work with clients to understand their needs and match IBM solutions to their requirements, delivering tailored solutions that meet their business goals. • Deliver Solution Design: Provide technical sales support, including solution design for Cloud solutions such as Application Modernization Offerings, Business Continuity & Data Resiliency Solutions, and Cloud Native Offerings, ensuring alignment with client needs and IBM offerings. • Deliver Proof of Concept for Cloud solutions, demonstrating the value and capabilities of IBM Cloud Platform Portfolio to clients and IBM sellers. • Collaborate with Clients and Sellers: Act as a technical consultant, working closely with clients and IBM sellers to understand their needs and provide technical guidance on Cloud solutions. • Support Technical Sales: Provide technical sales support for Cloud solutions, including responding to client inquiries, addressing technical concerns, and developing technical content to support sales efforts. • Stay Current with Cloud Offerings: Maintain knowledge of IBM Cloud Platform Portfolio, including new offerings and updates, to ensure accurate and effective technical sales support. **Required technical and professional expertise** • understanding of product features, functionality, and applications. • Sales and Solutioning Expertise: Experience with developing and maintaining expertise in a designated set of IBM offerings to match solutions to client requirements. • Competitive Analysis: Experience with analyzing competition and developing winning sales strategies to drive business growth and success. • Business Partner Collaboration: Experience working with Business Partners to identify and pursue new sales opportunities and deliver value to clients. • Familiarity with Cloud solutions, including Application Modernization Offerings, Business Continuity & Data Resiliency Solutions, Cloud Migration Solutions, and Cloud Native Offerings, such as IBM Kubernetes Service, IBM Cloud Databases, and Container Registry. • Technical Sales Support Experience: Experience working with technical sales teams, providing support for sales efforts, and developing technical content to address client inquiries and concerns. • Solution Design Knowledge: Understanding of solution design principles and experience with designing solutions for Cloud offerings, including Application Modernization, Business Continuity & Data Resiliency, and Cloud Native solutions. • Familiarity with IBM Cloud Platform Portfolio, including new offerings and updates, such as IBM Public Cloud for Financial Services and IBM Cloud Satellite. **Preferred technical and professional experience** • Exposure to Industry Trends: Familiarity with industry trends and developments related to Power Systems and competing technologies, enabling informed sales strategies and effective client engagement. • Additional IBM Offerings Knowledge: Exposure to other IBM offerings and services, allowing for a broader understanding of the IBM portfolio and potential synergies with Power Systems solutions. • Experience with advanced sales techniques, such as consultative selling and solution selling, to enhance sales performance and drive business growth. • Cloud Migration Knowledge: Exposure to Cloud Migration Solutions for IBM Power, VMware Workloads, and SAP Workloads, including understanding of migration strategies and challenges. • Experience working with Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud, including application modernization and containerization. • Familiarity with IBM Cloud services, including IBM Cloud Backup, IBM Cloud Object Storage, and HyperProtect Crypto Services.
