About the role

Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday

As an Operations Communications Summer Intern, you will support the day-to-day communication efforts that keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. This role sits at the intersection of operations, communications, and project coordination, giving you hands-on exposure to how clear, timely messaging supports teams, processes, and business goals.

This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week at the Support Center in Legacy West, Plano, TX.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not provided.Availability is required from June 1 through August 7, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities

Assist in creating, editing, and distributing internal communications, organizing operational updates, and helping ensure information flows accurately across teams. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, contribute to real projects, and gain practical experience in operational strategy and stakeholder communications.Support process improvement initiatives by documenting workflows and communication best practicesAssist with planning and execution of internal campaigns, meetings or operational initiativesMonitor feedback to evaluate communication effectiveness

Perform general administrative and project support tasks as needed within the Operations team

Basic understanding of internal communications, business operations, or organizational processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to edit, proofread, and format content for clarity and consistencyProficiency with productivity and collaboration tools common office tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Google Workspace)Understanding of collaboration in a team-based, cross-functional environmentBasic project coordination and task-tracking skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Working conditions & physical requirements

Primarily office-based with regular use of a computer and standard office equipment

May require time spent in the onsite LAB store to observe processes

The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.

While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
