About the role
Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday
We are seeking a motivated Summer Intern to support inventory management process improvements and reporting initiatives. In this role, you will analyze current inventory workflows, identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency, and help document and implement enhanced processes.

This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week at the Support Center in Legacy West, Plano, TX.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not provided.Availability is required from June 1 through August 7, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Analyse current inventory management workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement. Assist in developing and documenting standardized inventory procedures and best practices.Create and maintain inventory reports and dashboard to track key metrics and performance indicators.Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather data and support improvement efforts. Help implement process enhancements and change management activities.Prepare presentations and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations and progress to stakeholdersKnowledge, skills & abilities requirements
Ideal role for a detail-oriented student with strong analytical skillsBasic understanding of inventory management concepts (inventory accuracy, cycle counting, stock levels, etc)Data analysis skills, including the ability to identify trends, discrepancies and improvement opportunitiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools (formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis)Experience or familiarity with reporting or dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or similar)Ability to document processes, workflows and standard operating procedure (SOPs)

The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.
While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
