Broadcast Maintenance Technician (WHCA):
Bowhead is seeking a Broadcast Maintenance Technician for an upcoming effort in Washington, DC. The Broadcast Maintenance Technician provides broadcast maintenance services of equipment and systems pertaining to audio & video, live event production, real time live streaming, teleconferencing, recording, reproducing and teleprompting, non-linear editing systems, and offline & online data storage. Duties include maintenance support of a broadcast work center at a government location.
Responsibilities Act as the government customer’s subject matter expert for video and audio editing, duplication, signal processing, and audio and video signal mixing and distribution.Maintain and repair all installed broadcast systems (audio and video routers, non-linear editing systems, online data storage).Maintain and repair all installed cable television head end equipment.Maintain and repair all installed single mode fiber optic transmission paths through scheduled preventative maintenance.Plan, develop, and execute system updates.Adhere to the standards of broadcast operations for this work center.Perform Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 5 years’ technical or craft experience in electronics, electricity, engineering, communications, physics, or in a similar field that provides technical knowledge and background that could be applied in the development, testing, evaluation, design, standardization, research on, maintenance of, or installation of broadcast systems, audio, and video production equipment.Proficiency and experience in maintaining a cable head end and distribution system.Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment and conceptsAbility to comprehend and utilize audio, visual, and power related mathematics.Generally proficient with common office productivity applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite.Able to work independently and as a team member.Must maintain professional appearance, demeanor, patience, flexibility, and strong customer-service skills.Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallyTarget salary range is between $75,000 - $110,000. Commensurate with experience.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret/SCI clearance at this location.
