Behavior Technician – Brighton School District 27J
Location: Brighton, CO Schedule: Tuesday–Friday Hours: 34 hours/week Contract Length: Remainder of the 2025–2026 School Year Pay: $24/hour Openings: 3
Position Overview
The Behavior Technician supports educational and behavioral services for children and adults with special needs. This role works closely with school staff and behavioral specialists to help students meet individualized learning and behavioral goals. Flexibility across grade levels is required.
Responsibilities
+ Implement behavioral and educational strategies under the guidance of supervising professionals
+ Support students with special needs in classroom and school settings
+ Collect data on student progress and behavior
+ Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and district staff
+ Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment
+ Assist with individualized education and behavior plans
Minimum Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ At least 2 years of pediatric experience preferred
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years old
