Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Breast and Lung Screening Program Specialist to support Plum St. Imaging in New Brunswick. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely, accurate, and coordinated screening services for lung and prostate patients. The Specialist provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support throughout the screening workflow, ensuring exceptional service delivery and seamless communication with patients, providers, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to supporting patient-centered care.

Previous medical office or healthcare clerical experienceExperience working in a medical imaging, screening, or diagnostic testing environmentFamiliarity with radiology workflows, report management, and scheduling processesKnowledge of insurance, billing, or referral-related work queuesScheduling Requirements:
Working Shift: Monday – Friday Day ShiftFull-Time, 40 Hours Per WeekEssential Functions:
Assists with all clerical and administrative aspects of the breast and lung screening workflowSupports written and verbal communication with patients, providers, and internal teamsAssists with patient letter mailing, follow-up communication, and documentationEnsures all screening exams are resulted timely and appropriately followed up when neededEnsures STAT and priority reports are transcribed and released in a timely mannerAssists with tracking and processing required report addendumsPerforms importing of outside imaging and coordinates to ensure timely receipt of all studiesManages the imaging schedule to ensure outside films are received prior to result releaseMails and faxes all reports, letters, and documentation to referring providers and patientsProvides EPIC workflow support, including navigation, documentation, and work queue engagementTracks patients who are due or past due for follow-up and proactively coordinates with schedulingSupports workflow by monitoring and completing tasks related to reports, billing, scheduling, and related work queuesOther Duties:
