Breakfast Cook
SUMMARY
The Breakfast Cook will play a key role in ensuring our guests start their day with a delightful and satisfying breakfast experience.

Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Presentation Prepare and cook a wide variety of breakfast items and other morning specialties. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to standard recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Portion, arrange, and garnish food to specification and in a timely manner. Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils. Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Keep updated on recipe changes and produce assigned items exactly according to recipes by using measuring devices and scales to control food costs. Uphold the standards and expectations of food quality and production set forth by Juniper Preserve. Kitchen Operations & Safety Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Perform scheduled cleaning, stocking, rotation, and maintenance tasks set by the Chef. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices. Receive food deliveries, checking contents to verify product quantity and quality. Guest Service Handle guest requests and dietary requirements with attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure customer needs are met. Teamwork & Communication Attend scheduled training seminars and staff meetings. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees and purveyors to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate. Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take corrective action or suggest alternative courses of action when necessary.

Other Responsibilities

Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position. Incorporate safe work practices in job performance. Regular and reliable attendance. Maintain a professional standard at Juniper Preserve, including appearance and interaction with members, employees, and guests of the club. Avoid discussing work-related issues with members and resort guests. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef. Qualifications: Required Proven experience as a Breakfast Cook or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques and recipes. Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a passion for food quality and presentation. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required. Must be able to independently carry out the key responsibilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
