This role involves driving sales efforts for a range of storage products, including Storage Ceph System, Storage Defender System, and Storage Discover, among others. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop Demand Opportunities: Create and identify new sales opportunities for Distributed Storage solutions, working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. • Progress Opportunities to Close: Build and maintain relationships with clients, progressing sales opportunities through the sales cycle to achieve revenue targets. • Solution Delivery: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive storage solutions that meet client requirements. • Product Knowledge Development: Stay up-to-date on the features and benefits of various Distributed Storage products, including Storage DS8K, Storage FlashSystem, and Storage for Netezza. • Sales Strategy Execution: Execute sales strategies to drive growth and revenue for Distributed Storage solutions, leveraging knowledge of the market and competitor landscape. **Required technical and professional expertise** • Storage Solutions Expertise: Experience with Distributed Storage solutions, including Storage Ceph System, Storage Defender System, and Storage Discover, among others, with the ability to create demand and progress opportunities to close. • Technical Product Knowledge: Experience in understanding the features and benefits of various Distributed Storage products, such as Storage DS8K, Storage FlashSystem, and Storage for Netezza, to deliver comprehensive storage solutions. • Sales Cycle Management: Experience managing sales cycles, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and progressing sales opportunities through the sales cycle to achieve revenue targets. • Market and Competitor Analysis: Experience analyzing market trends and competitor landscapes to inform sales strategies and drive growth and revenue for Distributed Storage solutions. • Solution Delivery Collaboration: Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive storage solutions that meet client requirements. **Preferred technical and professional experience** • Additional Storage Product Knowledge: Experience with other storage products, such as Cloud Object Storage, Dynamic system interchange (DSI) SW, Fusion HCI SW & Fusion SDS (TPS), and Linear Tape-Open (LTO), can be beneficial in identifying new sales opportunities and delivering comprehensive storage solutions. • Broad Storage Solution Understanding: Familiarity with a wide range of Distributed Storage solutions, including Storage Archive, Storage Area Network (SAN) Volume Controller (SVC), and Tape as a Service, can help in creating demand and progressing opportunities to close. • Advanced Technical Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the features and benefits of various Distributed Storage products, such as Storage Protect, Storage Protect Plus, and Storage Scale System, can aid in delivering tailored solutions to clients.
