Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual who possesses strong expertise in payment processes and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of compliance requirements and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our brand partners. This role focuses on managing payment operations related to brand initiatives, ensuring timely processing, and addressing payment queries while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

YOUR TEAM

Located in Mumbai, India, you will report to an on-site manager and be part of a dedicated team of payment specialists and financial analysts. You will work closely with various departments, including marketing, IT, and stewardship, to optimize payment processes and enhance operational efficiency.

HOW SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success in this role is defined by the ability to ensure timely and accurate payment processing, effective resolution of vendor inquiries, and adherence to compliance standards. The individual will be recognized for streamlining operations, providing valuable insights through reporting, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Oversee a team to create and post POs in Coupa and Adcost portals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Manage GR posting for all brand expenses, ensuring compliance with approval processes and timelines.

Resolve payment queries from vendors & commercial brand partners, including media and e-media payments, while utilizing SAP for payment status tracking.

Oversee CSR payments, ensuring compliance with payroll timelines.

Provide training on PO and GR guidelines to category admins to enhance their understanding and compliance.

Conduct weekly payment reporting for some initiatives, addressing validation issues and ensuring timely payments.

Validate POP (Proof of Payment) for various initiatives, adhering to compliance guidelines.

Perform monthly budget reconciliation for different P&G brands, ensuring budget tracking and acting as steward to prevent overreach.

Conduct periodic budget reviews and have oversight on budget overreach by media agencies

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect and collaborate effectively across teams.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of payment processes, compliance, and financial operations.

Business Acumen: Understanding of financial needs and implications related to brand operations.

Learning Agility: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years experience in payments or finance-related roles, with a strong understanding of compliance and operational processes.

Technical Skills: Experience with platforms like AdCost, Coupa as well as SAP software is preferred.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot payment-related issues and implement effective solutions.

Influencing Skills: Strong leadership and influencing capabilities across all organizational levels.
