Brand City Controller

Job Description

About the Role

As a Brand City Controller, you have a passion for delivering on the vision for H&M NYC to Liberate Fashion for the many, through elevated products and experiences. You execute store sales and hours strategy, achieving sales and profit goals, and fostering team growth through succession planning and performance management.

This hybrid/field role reports into our Brand City Manager and is based out of our New York Support Office.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*

Take responsibility for maximizing selling & profit by strategically partnering with business leaders to effectively implement strategies within the Brand City stores as well as updating existing stores as outlined by the Brand City strategyPartner with the Sales market team to set annual budget & forecast process for Sales, Marketing, Efficiency & CostsSecure Omni Customer experience through qualitative & efficient Work Force planningGuide the Brand City stores to reach Top & Bottom-line goalsSecure strong execution by aligning function plan and schedulesIdentify, develop and coach talents & foster multi-function collaborationThrough external and internal (local and global) cross-functional partnership, you support the execution programming in regular stores and new store conceptsYou play a key role in change initiatives, supporting colleagues to adapt to changes through effective communication and supportRequired domestic and international travel up to 40% of the time

Qualifications

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Business or Economics or equivalent experience3 years of past retail experience, preferably in retail management3-5 years in a business analyst or similar finance role for a retail company preferredInclusive, positive, open to feedback, willing to multitask and learn on the jobYou keep up to date with current fashion and other creative trendsYou demonstrate flexibility in adapting to evolving market conditions, embracing new technologies and insights, and the capability to adjust strategies based on dynamic business needsStrong commitment and experience with providing a high level of customer serviceAbility to coach and counsel colleagues on performance management and progressive discipline techniquesStore orientation and commitment to Brand City team and store management developmentProficient at Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to company specific systemsPlatform training skills and ability to communicate complex technical information in a simple and easy way

 

Additional Information

Compensation: expected base salary range is $98,957-$123,696 hourly**
