**Job Title: Brake Press Operator** Job Description Join our team to work on innovative and energy-efficient HVAC systems with over 100 customizable configurations, installed in various commercial spaces such as office buildings, schools, government facilities, and healthcare buildings. This role involves operating a brake press machine during the PM shift, contributing to the production of these advanced systems. Work Environment Work in a clean industrial space with the ambient sound of machinery. The environment is maintained at room temperature, with an air-conditioned lunch/break room. Join a production team of approximately 50 members, with a smaller nightshift team of two people. Personal protective equipment like steel toes, vests, ear plugs, gloves, and glasses will be provided. The on-site evening shift runs from Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm, in Vancouver, BC. Enjoy breaks with 2x15-minute and 1x30-minute intervals. Responsibilities + Operate the brake press machine throughout the entire shift. + Read and interpret CAD drawings and look up drawings when necessary. + Report any safety hazards, quality, and production issues promptly. + Contribute to continuous improvement by providing suggestions. Essential Skills + A minimum of 3 years of experience as a brake press operator. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken. + Physical fitness to stand, stretch, bend, lift, and crouch. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring, and understanding schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5 years of experience as a brake press operator is preferred. + Experience in environments using 5S, Lean manufacturing, and Kaizen. + Capability to work independently on the machine. + Forklift experience. + Possession of a first aid ticket.
