The pay range is $71,000.00 - $128,000.00 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. As a Designer, you will support and be responsible for Owned Brand product brands and/or categories that achieve overall product design strategy and merchant objectives. Under the overall direction of Design leadership, you will work with an assigned category, brand, business and guest segment. You will be expected to maintain a diligent approach to workload, which includes timely communication with internal and external partners. You’ll support and drive concepts throughout the development process, research, selection of materials/finishes, and the creation of silhouettes and textile deign for multiple categories. You will support and drive product designs to maintain and align with overall creative direction, merchant line plans, assortment strategies, and price points. You’ll build brand cohesion by partnering with peers across the division to ensure continuity. In collaboration with technical designers/engineers and sourcing partners, you’ll also identify, troubleshoot and resolve product issues. As a **Boys Textile/Product Designer** , you will be responsible for owning design and development of trend right graphics, prints and patterns that achieve overall design, brand and assortment strategy for a Target business. Integrating both hand and computer skills, you will create original artwork exclusive to Target that achieves the overall creative objective for the Cat & Jack brand. In collaboration with both internal and external partners, you will exchange ideas, leverage expertise, streamline the textile design process, and ensure products are executable and meet set price points while identifying and resolving any issues that may occur. You will stay abreast of benchmarks and trends through regular research and sources of inspiration to identify recurring patterns and translate inspiration into a saleable trend. In addition, you will actively participate in creating and presenting art, trend and concepts to Design and Merchant partners each cycle. Categories this role will support: - Owned Brand Boys Toddler and Kids Sleepwear Design and Textile Design - Owned Brand Boys Toddler and Kids Outerwear and Swim Textile Design **About you:** • Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art or related field, or equivalent experience • 3+ years of textile design experience and relevant apparel design experience • Experience in CAD illustration and Textile design - Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop • Strong color sense and pattern merchandising ability • Knowledge of textiles, garment construction/fit, raw materials & product production • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Experience working in a retail or product development environment • Ability to respond to business objectives with creative, innovative and cost-effective design solutions • Ability to prioritize and manage workload with multiple deadlines • Ability to build relationships to successfully work in a team environment • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
