This position is primarily responsible for internal inspection of all types of aluminum casted parts. When necessary removing the imperfections inside the parts, inspecting internal passages for quality. + Using Boroscope camera and equipment removes the internal imperfections for various types of aluminum casted parts + Performs the internal inspection of all parts and makes a responsible decision to accept, repair or scrap the part per documented instructions + Follows established protocol for notification of potential deviations or scrap trends + Utilizes the necessary fixturing or gauges to assure dimensional conformance of the part + Sets up and maintains small appliances as required to perform specific activities + Maintains the necessary stock of materials for the area to maximize productivity + Maintains necessary documentation + Willing to be cross trained in other roles/departments + Other duties as assigned + Strong attention to detail + Ability to follow specification and written activity instructions + Time management skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Ability to use small hand tools and measuring instruments + Respects the values and adheres to the Howmet Aerospace Code of Conduct + Avoids conflict of interest situations and acts in the company’s best interests + Takes personal responsibility for the quality of the products + Displays a positive, willing to work attitude, as someone who can be counted on to be at work, on time, everyday. environment health and safety (ehs) + Learns, understands, and respects the company EHS rules and regulations + Wears Personal Protective Equipment + Follows all safety rules + Reports hazards, unsafe acts, and any accidents as per company procedures.
