BOP Commercial Underwriter
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial BOP Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting Business Owner's Policies, ensuring that risks are appropriately assessed and priced. This role involves working closely with agents, brokers, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive insurance solutions for small to medium-sized businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate Insurance Applications: Assess and process insurance applications for Business Owner's Policies, ensuring all necessary information is obtained and reviewed.
Risk Assessment: Analyze financial data, business operations, and other relevant information to determine the level of risk associated with insuring potential clients.
Policy Pricing: Calculate appropriate premiums based on risk assessment and company guidelines.
Decision Making: Make informed decisions on policy acceptance, modifications, or rejections, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with insurance agents, brokers, and other professionals to gather information, negotiate terms, and provide quotations.
Claims Monitoring: Monitor and review insurance claims to ensure fair dealing and customer satisfaction.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on current market conditions, insurance policies, and relevant legislation to make informed underwriting decisions.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of underwriting decisions and policy information.
