Job Description
The Bookkeeper/Office Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial transactions, office organization, and administrative tasks. This is a hands-on position that involves balancing bookkeeping with general office management duties to support the company's operations and ensure a smooth workflow. This role will start out as a part-time position working 3 days a week. It will eventually turn into a full time position.
ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll efficiently and accurately.Enter deposits and expenses into QuickBooks.Manage accounts payable and receivable.Conduct job costing and Work in Progress (WIP) tracking.File and pay monthly and quarterly liabilities, employer withholding, sales tax, and Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC).Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts.Prepare and send customer estimates and invoices.Track job flow and progress.Enter orders and manage purchasing of materials.Handle phone duties with professionalism.Maintain office organization and efficiency.Essential SkillsProficient in QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2017 or other recent Desktop versions.Experience with Windows 10, Excel, and Word.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working with deadlines, interruptions, and unexpected situations.Reliable transportation.Additional Skills & Qualifications5 years of experience as an Office Manager or Office Assistant, including payroll processing and tax filings.Experience working in a small business or startup environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.Work Environment
The work environment is casual and relaxed, starting out as three days a week, with the potential to increase to four to five days in the future. This is a small manufacturing facility with a close-knit team and a good culture, offering room for growth.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
