Job Title: Bookkeeper

Job Description

As a Bookkeeper, you will process and manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, truck bills, and maintenance-related expenses. You will prepare and file certified payroll reports and compliance documentation. Additionally, you will process weekly payroll using automated systems, including timecards and electronic timesheets. Your responsibilities will also include entering sales receipts, preparing bank deposits, and stamping/checking checks. You will record journal entries and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger. The role also involves assisting with basic bookkeeping tasks and month-end support. You will ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, with volume fluctuating seasonally. Furthermore, maintaining positive vendor and internal customer relationships through professional communication is essential. Supporting established SOPs and working effectively without getting overly detailed are key aspects of this role. Collaboration cross-functionally with operations, sales, and management teams is also required.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

Experience using QuickBooks Desktop.Certified payroll experience, including filing required compliance documentation.Prior accounts payable experience.Strong customer service and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Accounts payable knowledge.Reconciliation skills.General Ledger and Journal Entry experience.Familiarity with certified payroll and QuickBooks.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
