Bookkeeper / Office Manager (Construction) Chicopee, MA | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity We are a small, family-owned construction company seeking a dependable Bookkeeper / Office Manager to support daily financial and office operations. This role works closely with company leadership and offers long-term stability in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities + Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payments, and billing + Maintain the General Ledger and enter monthly journal entries using Open Systems + Track job costs, payroll, and AP by job and phase + Process payroll and bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks + Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports for the accountant + Handle annual compliance and renewals (ISNetworld, DCAM – MA) + Assist with pension paperwork, insurance audits, and payroll documentation + Perform general office duties (phones, proposals, filing, scanning, etc.) + Supervise two part-time administrative employees Qualifications + Bookkeeping and office management experience required + QuickBooks proficiency required + Strong skills in Excel and Word + Construction industry experience strongly preferred + Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask + Comfortable working independently in a small office environment Work Environment + Small, family-owned construction office + Team-oriented and flexible culture + Long-term employment opportunity Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicopee, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
