Description Our client is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their team in the Middletown, New Jersey area. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in managing financial transactions, and ensures accurate record-keeping. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the organization’s financial health through a variety of bookkeeping functions. Salary is 65,000 - 75,000. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, and PTO. Responsibilities: • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently and within deadlines. • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy. • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees. • Generate and review financial reports to support business decision-making. • Monitor and update financial records using QuickBooks software. • Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies or inquiries related to financial data. • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping within a detail-oriented environment. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and payroll management. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Solid understanding of financial reporting and basic accounting principles. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and address inquiries. • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
