Bookkeeper
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Bookkeeper to support a small office environment and work directly with a CPA. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activities, and supporting month-end and year-end processes. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, advanced Excel functions, and full-cycle AP/AR, with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Desktop Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations Prepare and process 1099s, including year-end reporting and filing Assist with month-end and year-end close in coordination with the CPA Utilize Excel extensively, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and reconciliations Track and assist with property taxes and related documentation (preferred) Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting schedules Organize financial documents and ensure compliance with internal controls Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal staff as needed Provide support during audits, tax preparation, and financial reviews Required Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small office environment Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and formulas Solid experience with AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Experience preparing 1099s and handling year-end processes High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with a CPA Preferred Qualifications Experience handling or assisting with property taxes Bilingual (Spanish/English or other languages a plus) Prior experience working directly with a CPA or accounting firm Knowledge of small business accounting and internal controls Requirements Bookkeeping, QuickBooks, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Form 1099, Year End Closings, Property Tax Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
