Bookkeeper
Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to oversee the financial transactions and records of our organization. Based in Secaucus, New Jersey, this position requires someone with keen attention to detail who excels at managing accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software and a strong understanding of financial processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee the full scope of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, including vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections. • Perform accurate bank reconciliations and maintain up-to-date financial records. • Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant documents. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support strategic business planning. • Utilize accounting tools, such as Sage and QuickBooks, for efficient bookkeeping and financial management. • Conduct general ledger accounting and ensure proper documentation of transactions. • Manage tax preparation and compliance activities, adhering to regulatory standards. • Apply governmental and public accounting practices to ensure accuracy and transparency. • Process payroll and maintain detailed records of employee compensation. • Ensure all financial practices are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management. • Strong proficiency in accounting software, including Sage and QuickBooks. • Expertise in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance standards. • Knowledge of governmental and public accounting practices. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Ability to efficiently manage month-end close processes and journal entries. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple financial tasks.
