Responsibilities
Performs high quality Bone Densitometry imaging (Lumbar Spine, Proximal Femurs, Radius, Vertebral Fracture Assessment, Whole Body Composition, Atypical Femur Fracture, Orthopedic Knee, and Pediatric) that meet the standards established by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry and the Mayo Clinic Radiology and Endocrinology Departments. Produces detailed analysis of images, determines and provides additional FRAX Score, Trabecular Bone Score, and Sarcopenia calculations as appropriate. Requires competence in equipment and technology in Bone Mineral Density. Practices safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel, and patients. Respects the modesty and confidentiality of all patients and handles hostile and demanding patients in a mature manner. Able to accommodate patient needs by adapting to a wide range of age-specific and physical limitations. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Performs Radiographic examinations that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Department. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology in General Diagnostic, which may be limited in scope. Practices safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths.

Qualifications
One year related medical experience.
Additional Qualifications:
Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication. Computer experience is very helpful.
Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, which may include days, evenings, holidays and weekends
License or Certification:
Must be licensed by the State of Minnesota as a certified X-Ray equipment operator.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
