Trades Assistant/Boilermaker

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced quarry/mining fixed-plant Boilermaker / Welder or Trades Assistant to perform fixed-plant maintenance at Nerang Quarry, on a permanent, full-time basis. We are looking for candidates who have either a trade qualification as a fitter / boilermaker, or ample relevant experience.  This role will be a day shift position – with a 5am start and 5pm finish, Monday to Friday! Half day on a Saturday. Friday and Saturdays are paid as overtime.

In your new role with us, you will:

Conducting general fixed-plant maintenanceInspection and maintenance of crushers, conveyors, screens and chutesCommunicating and planning repairs according to requirements in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor/Leading HandExecuting repairs as per scheduled timelineMonitor improvements to maintenance tasks and processes or plant performance
