Back of House Supervisor
Our Back of House Supervisor are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. They assist both the Sous and Kitchen Manager with kitchen management, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficiency. As a BOH Supervisor, you will be in charge of supervising kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation, managing inventory, and maintaining hygiene standards. The role involves hands-on cooking, team leadership, and supporting menu development, making it an essential, entry-level management position.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations: assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including supervising staff and ensuring consistent food preparation and service according to company standards.Food Quality & Preparation: oversee the preparation of food items, ensuring high quality, proper presentation, and accurate execution of recipes.Staff Supervision: supervise, train, and coach kitchen staff to foster and positive and productive work environment.Inventory & Cost Control: monitor food inventory and help manage food costs to minimize waste and ensure cost-effectiveness.Hygiene & Safety: maintain strict health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with regulations and conducting daily clean-up.Leadership: act as a leader in the absence of the Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager, taking responsibility for shift operations.Point Of Sale: taking guest orders, answering any dietary restrictions or allergens, and handling money.Skills & Qualifications
Culinary Experience: prior experience as a line cook or similar position.Leadership & Communication: excellent communication, leadership, and organization skills.Teamwork: ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.Adaptability: can adapt to changing kitchen demands and work in all areas of the kitchen as needed.If you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced and social atmosphere, this may be the opportunity for you!
