**Summary**
Join our team as a Blood Tester on the 1st Shift at our Brownsville, KY location. **Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for having the proper amount and type of vaccines needed and all necessary equipment and supplies needed the day before the crew leaves to go out to the job site.
+ Ensure to follow all program stipulations during all types of job activities, such as bird housing, movements, vaccinations, beak trimming.
+ Observes all job activities of the crew and report deficiencies, communicates all findings and recommendations to supervisor.
+ Follows written programs and instruction while recording data and turning in reports on schedule to supervisor.
+ Follows the schedule for vaccinations, blood testing, and drag swabs. Maintains accurate records of all activities.
+ Follows all biosecurity, poultry welfare and safety requirements of the company and ensures that all other crew associates do the same.
+ Physically performs all duties required in blood testing, vaccinating, and moving chickens according to written programs.
+ Drives company vehicles to and from farms and state lab.
+ Responsible for all cleaning and maintenance of equipment/vehicles for crew work.
**Minimum Education**
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
**Experience Requirements**
+ Strong reading, math and writing skills
+ One to two years of previous work experience
**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
When in a plant environment:
+ Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
+ May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
+ May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
+ May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 db.
+ May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
+ You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
+ Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
+ Able to stand for several hours.
+ Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly
