THE OPPORTUNITY
In this role, you are accountable for the end-to-end management of leaf blending operations, ensuring consistent product quality, cost efficiency, and operational reliability across affiliate and manufacturing environments. You translate blend strategies, formulas, and material plans into executable, compliant outcomes while managing complexity across multiple products, markets, and supply scenarios.

 

You operate as the operational owner of blending performance, using data, analytics, and KPIs to drive decision-making, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. Acting as a key interface between affiliates, manufacturing centers, and global stakeholders, you ensure alignment, transparency, and execution excellence.

 

As a people manager, you lead and develop a team of blending professionals, embedding a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in line with PMI standards and values.

Responsibilities of the role:

Own and manage leaf blending operations for conventional and combustible products across affiliatesEnsure accurate execution of blend formulas, bills of material, and tobacco material codesLead blend maintenance activities, including stock positioning, inventory optimization, and waste reductionMonitor blending performance through KPIs and dashboards, enabling data-driven decisions and predictive risk managementUtilize Excel and Power BI to analyze trends, forecast impacts, and improve operational efficiencyCoordinate closely with PMI Manufacturing Centers, maintaining structured communication and oversight of ongoing and new initiativesDrive cross-functional collaboration with supply chain, quality, planning, and global stakeholdersEnsure compliance with PMI specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirementsLead, coach, and develop a team of blending professionals, setting clear objectives and performance expectationsPromote a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and operational excellence across affiliate operations

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in leaf blending, tobacco operations, or supply chain environments within a regulated manufacturing context5+ years of relevant experience in tobacco, blending, inventory management, or related operational rolesDemonstrated people management experience, including direct reportsStrong understanding of blend formulas, bills of material, stock management, and inventory optimizationAdvanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools is a strong plusExperience working in multinational, cross-functional environmentsSolid background in quality, compliance, and process improvementStructured, analytical, and hands-on leadership style with strong stakeholder management skills
