Role Overview

During this placement, you will play an integral role in lab-based testing and contribute to impactful projects which influence vehicle fluid standards and product quality. The position is hands-on and collaborative, allowing you to enhance technical skills and engage with cross-departmental teams. You will also have the opportunity to develop your communication skills by presenting findings and writing reports for both internal stakeholders and customers.

Key Responsibilities Perform accurate and reliable physical and analytical tests on lubricants and related products, adhering to recognized protocols and safety standards. Compile and present detailed test results through clear verbal and written communications, tailored for technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with business leaders and R&D teams to support the advancement of new testing methodologies and ongoing research projects. Contribute to the development and refinement of industry standards by innovating test procedures and providing expert insights into vehicle fluid performance. Facilitate knowledge sharing and cooperation across different labs by training colleagues and expanding expertise on a variety of test techniques throughout the department. Candidate Profile Currently undertaking a chemistry-related degree with plans to complete a year in industry as part of the academic program. Strong oral and written communication skills, enabling the creation of coherent reports and confident presentation of technical results. Preferably some prior lab experience with familiarity in analytical or physical chemistry techniques. Demonstrated ability to work methodically and accurately within a laboratory setting, following safety and quality standards.
