Blasting Helper

Essential Responsibilities   

Assist in the blasting process by safely installing detonator caps and boosters at the correct stem height 

Operate skid steer efficiently to fill blast holes with crush or drill cuttings 

Perform physical tasks in outdoor conditions, including standing, bending, and kneeling 

Operate skid steer or rock truck to support safe and effective blasting operations 

Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with team members across multiple disciplines   

  

Qualifications   

Previous experience in mining or heavy equipment operations is an  

Familiarity with machinery such as skid steer and rock truck preferred 

Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow in your career  

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision   

Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing   

Valid MSHA P. 48 with surface, metal and non – metal is desired but not required 

   

Work Conditions    

4 days on with 3 days off, working 11.5 hour days  

Overtime rates apply after 40 hours per week and are paid at time and a half    

Living out allowance provided for those who qualify

Site based position working primarily outdoors and in various weather conditions with the opportunity for long term employment
