BlackLine Consultant (Interim / Project-Based)\n\nEngagement Overview\nWe are seeking an experienced BlackLine Consultant to provide temporary, hands-on support to accelerate improvements within our BlackLine environment. This role will partner closely with Accounting leadership to modernize balance sheet reconciliations, standardize processes, and help move the team away from legacy practices during a critical transformation phase.\n\nThis engagement is highly visible, with direct alignment to CFO-sponsored priorities.\n\nKey Objectives\nRapidly stabilize and enhance our BlackLine foundation\nModernize balance sheet reconciliation processes\nIntroduce standardized templates and best practices\nProvide change leadership and execution support while internal teams face bandwidth constraints\n\nKey Responsibilities\nBlackLine Process & Foundation Enhancement\nAssess current BlackLine configuration, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation\nLead the revamp of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness\nDesign and implement standardized reconciliation templates aligned with BlackLine and accounting best practices\nStrengthen foundational setup, including controls, policies, and documentation standards\n\nExecution & Acceleration Support\nServe as hands-on execution support to accelerate progress where internal teams lack bandwidth\nWork through reconciliation backlogs and exception items efficiently\nPartner with Accounting and Finance stakeholders to prioritize high-impact improvements\n\nChange Enablement\nHelp guide the team away from legacy processes and promote adoption of modern, standardized workflows\nAct as a trusted advisor and change agent, reinforcing BlackLine best practices\nTranslate complex BlackLine concepts into practical, easy-to-adopt solutions\n\nStakeholder & Leadership Collaboration\nCollaborate closely with Controllers, Accounting Managers, and Finance leadership\nSupport CFO-driven initiatives by providing structure, clarity, and momentum\nCommunicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly and professionally

Required Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance\nProven experience as a BlackLine Consultant, Power User, or Implementation Specialist\nStrong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and close processes\nHands-on experience designing and standardizing reconciliation templates in BlackLine\nBackground in Accounting, Finance, or BlackLine advisory/consulting roles\nAbility to operate in environments with limited documentation and heavy legacy processes\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting organizations during transformation, cleanup, or post-implementation phases\nPrior exposure to high-visibility, CFO-sponsored projects\nStrong change management mindset with a practical, execution-focused approach

This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
