What Is The Opportunity? 
The BizTalk team is responsible for providing integration solutions using Microsoft BizTalk Server as part of RBC’s ongoing concurrent initiatives of varying complexity. In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing integration solutions using BizTalk Server, including creating and configuring adapters, pipelines, and orchestrations, as well as ensuring that the integration solutions meet with business requirements and are free of defects. As well, the role includes integrating various systems, applications and services using BizTalk Server, ensuring seamless data exchange and workflow automation. The role will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing integration solutions, performing routine maintenance and working with cross functional teams to ensure integration solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with overall IT strategy.

What Will You Do?

Creating integration solutions for multiple concurrent initiatives using Microsoft BizTalk Server, including designing, developing and testing orchestrations, pipelines, and adapters.

Configuring and deploying BizTalk applications, including setting up environments, configuring adapters, and deploying solutions to production.

Troubleshooting and debugging integration issues, including analyzing logs, using debugging tools, and identifying root causes of problems.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and other developers to ensure integration solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with overall IT strategy.

Maintaining and supporting existing integration solutions, including applying updates, patches, and hotfixes, and ensuring solutions continue to meet business requirements. Analyzing and resolving integration issues, including identifying root causes, developing solutions, and implementing fixes.

Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

Participating in code reviews, including reviewing code written by other developers, providing feedback, and ensuring code meets coding standards and best practices.


What Do You Need To Succeed? 
Must have: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software development, integration, or a related field, with a focus on Microsoft BizTalk Server and/or Microsoft .NET development

Knowledge of integration protocols such as SOAP, REST, SFTP, and MSMQ.

Experience working with various data formats, including XML, JSON, and CSV.

Familiarity with database management systems such as SQL Server.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as GitHub.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve common goals, as well as willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.

Nice-to-have:  

Familiarity with API management concepts, including API design, security, and analytics.

Familiarity with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
