Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Biostatistician, you will be a central figure applying advanced statistical methods to design, analyze, and interpret complex data from medical, public health, and biological studies, directly contributing to evidence-based decision-making. You will play a vital role in ensuring the scientific rigor and validity of research findings and clinical trials.

Every day, you will meticulously collaborate with researchers and clinicians to develop robust study designs, determine appropriate statistical methodologies, and implement sophisticated data analysis techniques. You will also prepare comprehensive statistical reports, interpret complex findings for diverse audiences, contribute to scientific publications, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory and ethical principles.

To be successful in this role, you will combine a Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics or a related field, extensive experience with statistical software, and a profound understanding of epidemiological and clinical research methodologies. You will demonstrate exceptional analytical modeling and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to data integrity, and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment dedicated to advancing biomedical science.

Assist in providing statistical expertise in the design of research projects, focusing on fundamental issues including specification of hypotheses, basic study design and power analysisAssist in the development of operations and procedures for the collection, editing, verification and management of dataAssist in preparing preliminary plans for analysis of research study; present such plan to the research team and prepare final analysis plans based on team inputConsults with investigators on experimental design and statistical research approaches, requirements, and scientific standards to advance medical knowledge and improve the assigned research programDevelops, programs, manages, and maintains complex statistical databases; performs data entryParticipate in the preparation of written reports and oral presentations summarizing data analysis results, including detailed description of statistical methods, detailed analysis of results, and synthesis of conclusions from summary tables.
