Job Title: Laboratory ManagerJob Description We are seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee and ensure the seamless management of lab documentation and sample processes within global regulatory compliance. This role requires a leader who can guide Specialists and Coordinators, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of samples in a demanding lab environment. Responsibilities + Manage lab documentation for samples ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards. + Provide guidance and leadership to Specialists and Coordinators. + Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of samples. + Efficiently manage daily and weekly workloads and order entry processes. + Develop leadership and management skills through active participation in reviews and quality training. + Determine and manage necessary resources for operations. + Develop and maintain record-keeping policies to support regulatory audit criteria. + Review, audit, and ensure quality control of documents and reports. + Provide timely responses to requests and notices. + Conduct training in global compliance regulations. + Maintain a safe working environment and support EH&S compliance. + Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies such as CBP, DOT, IATA, FDA, and USDA. + Complete all necessary training and certifications. + Support sample handling processes. Essential Skills + Bachelor Degree in Biology or related field. + Minimum of five years related lab experience. + Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, NetSuite Oracle, and ERP Systems. + Excellent typing and data entry skills. + Outstanding communication and organizational skills. + Ability to handle biological materials and specimens. + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in protective equipment. + High level of attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. + Familiarity with US Customs requirements and IATA shipping regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or related work environment. + Medical tech background or medical assistant experience. + Science background or knowledge. + Experience with specimen collection, processing, and labeling. Work Environment The work environment involves biobanking, bioprocessing, and analytics, with operations since 1999. The role includes handling various biological specimens such as saliva, DNA, blood, stool, and urine. Candidates will work in a dynamic setting, contributing to significant health initiatives during challenging times. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
