Job Title: Biologist Location: Boston, MA Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm Pay Range: $47.50 - $55.80/hr Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent Requirements + MSc with 3+ years, or PhD with 0+ years of relevant experience in a scientific discipline such as molecular/cell biology, genetics, virology, or related field (same as "Education" section below) + Proficiency in cell culture and molecular biology techniques (transfection, molecular cloning) + Preferred: Knowledge or preferably experience in AAV and/or baculovirus Responsibilities: + Drive the viral vector process to deliver internal productions of recombinant AAVs and baculoviruses + Design and execute molecular/cellular experiments, including PCR techniques and cell culture, to support bioprocess sample testing to guide the process optimization + Manage experimental workflows and vector inventory through electronic lab notebook documentation of experimental data, protocols, and reports + Assist in the group efforts on vector expression system upgrade, cell line development and characterization, and AAV capsids Benefits System One offers eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options, including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, and participation in a 401(k) plan.
