This position is part of the Bioinformatics Pipeline team based in Boulder, CO, and reports to the Pipeline Team Manager. It will be fully remote, with the option to come on site to one of our offices, which are located in Boulder; Coralville, IA; and Redwood City, CA. Must be close to mentioned sites to be considered for role.
The Gene Reading Solutions Pipeline team is part of a software group tasked with creating and maintaining tools to accelerate the development and analysis of IDT’s distributed oncology assays. We are responsible for the core bioinformatics pipelines that our customers use to analyze their data. As an intern on this team, you will work closely with your colleagues to help us expand the capabilities of our software platform and enable precision medicine in laboratories, hospital systems, and research centers around the world. Intern will maintain and develop code and participate in team ceremonies related to engineering of bioinformatics pipeline software products. May involve interactions with Assay Development, Web Applications, and/or Product Management. Our tech stack includes Python, Nextflow, C++, Docker and Kubernetes.

Actively pursuing - Rising Sr. (or have already received) a degree in computer science, engineering, life sciences (biology, genomics, bioinformatics, etc.), or related fieldFIrst year MS students in Bioinformatics or Software Engineering are welcome to apply2+ years of experience (can include school course work) with Python, C++, Java or another general purpose languageTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

The hourly range for this role is $25-$30 depending on skills and experience. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
