BIM/VDC Manager

We’re looking for a BIM/VDC Manager in the commercial construction industry.

Our client is a leading, multi-division construction and services company with a long-standing reputation for excellence across Western Canada. As the organization continues to expand, they are seeking a BIM/VDC Manager to lead their digital construction initiatives. This individual will be responsible for establishing long-term BIM/VDC strategies, standardizing processes across divisions, mentoring teams, and driving the integration of advanced technologies to improve project outcomes.

BIM/VDC Manager Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of BIM/VDC strategies, standards, and best practices across divisions Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging digital construction technologies Oversee model governance and ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with BIM Execution Plans Improve construction workflows, prefabrication, and coordination through digital processes Manage and support VDC assignments to ensure alignment with project and divisional objectives Mentor and develop BIM/VDC Managers, Designers, and Coordinators to strengthen overall team performance Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing to unify teams under a consistent digital delivery approach Support estimating and proposal teams with BIM Execution Plans, RFQs, and RFP submissions Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants, and trade partners Report progress, milestones, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership The successful candidate has: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry At least 5 years of experience working with BIM/VDC tools (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.) A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical sub-trade construction Proven experience leading digital design, coordination, and project delivery processes Strong technical mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills Experience with prefabrication, digital field workflows, and construction technology integration Post-secondary education in Engineering, Design Technology, or Construction Technology (preferred) Journeyperson certification in Mechanical or Electrical trades (asset) Professional certifications in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or related BIM/VDC software (asset) Compensation and benefits: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Professional development and training opportunities Collaborative and supportive team environment Company events and team-building activities
