Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Technician specializing in Wet Utilities to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, ensuring efficient and accurate project delivery.
Develop and manage wet utilities BIM models for gravity and pressure systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.Produce drawing deliverables at various Levels of Development (LOD 100 to LOD 500) based on project requirements and industry standards.Utilize Dynamo for computational design, automation, and optimization of BIM workflows, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of BIM models into the overall design process.Utilize Part Builder and advanced catalog editing tools to customize and optimize BIM components as needed.Conduct quality control checks on BIM models and drawings to ensure compliance with project standards and client expectations.Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating design changes and revisions as necessary.Provide technical support and guidance to team members regarding BIM processes, tools, and Dynamo scripting.Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in BIM for wet utilitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field5 years of experience in BIM for wet utilities or related fieldProficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit and Civil 3DStrong knowledge of wet utilities systems, including water, wastewater, and stormwaterExcellent 3D modeling and drafting skillsFamiliarity with industry standards and codes related to wet utilitiesStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentBIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) preferredUnderstanding of wet utilities design principles and construction methodsWillingness to adapt to the local work environment in Doha, QatarAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
