Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Technician to join our innovative team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a BIM Technician, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining Building Information Models for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the design process.
Create and develop 3D models and technical drawings using BIM software, from initial stages to final deliveryCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate various building systems into cohesive BIM modelsEnsure compliance with project requirements, current regulations, and design criteria defined by engineersExecute design assignments of low to medium complexity under direct supervisionInterpret 2D designs and verbal or written instructions to create accurate 3D models and technical plansDevelop deliverables autonomously, adhering to project-specific guidelines and BIM standardsParticipate in coordination activities as directed by the BIM team or project leaderMaintain organized and up-to-date project files and documentationAssist in identifying and resolving design conflicts and clashes within the BIM modelStay current with the latest BIM technologies and industry best practicesQualificationsHigh school diploma or Technical diploma in a related fieldMinimum of 4 years of experience in BIM modeling or equivalent combination of education and experienceProficiency in AutoCAD and RevitExperience with BIM 360 + ACC and other collaborative work platformsStrong knowledge of 3D modeling software and techniquesSolid understanding of construction processes and building systemsFamiliarity with BIM standards and best practicesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinkingEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlinesWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologiesAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
