Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and innovative BIM Specialist to join our team in Chennai, India. As a BIM Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies for our projects, ensuring efficient and accurate 3D modeling, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize project outcomes.
Develop and maintain BIM models for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standardsCollaborate with project teams to integrate BIM processes into project workflows and enhance overall efficiencyCreate and manage BIM content libraries, including families, templates, and standardsPerform clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve conflicts in the modelGenerate high-quality 2D drawings and 3D visualizations from BIM modelsProvide technical support and training to team members on BIM software and best practicesImplement and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and quality control proceduresParticipate in project meetings and contribute to BIM execution plansStay up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies and industry trendsAssist in the development of BIM-related proposals and presentations for clientsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in BIM modeling and coordinationProficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCADExperience with Bentley Openroads and/or Openrail is highly desirableBasic knowledge of Bentley MicrostationStrong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry standardsExcellent 3D modeling and visualization skillsProficiency in interpreting and applying CAD/BIM standardsExperience in linear infrastructure projects (railway and road) is a plusKnowledge of clash detection and coordination processesFamiliarity with BIM execution plans and protocolsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trendsAdditional InformationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilitiesEffective communication and collaboration skillsAbout AECOM
