**Job Description**
**AECOM** ’s Chicago Buildings + Places team is seeking a **BIM & Digital Technology Lead** who will serve as a subject matter expert for Revit and other digital design tools within the practice including developing, implementing, supporting, training, and strategizing all things BIM. This critical leadership role will support teams on all projects from concept through construction leveraging BIM workflows to maximize the team’s efficiency, quality and use of the firm’s multiple design technologies. This role is a hybrid position located in **Chicago, IL.**

**About the Chicago Buildings + Places Team**
Our practice is one of the fastest growing and highest-performing B+P practices in **AECOM’** s West Region. We offer a full suite of services: architecture, interiors, building systems and structural engineering, urbanism and planning (including landscape), workplace transformation, advisory services, technology solutions, and digital delivery - and serve as a Center of Excellence for many of these disciplines.
We work in a collaborative model across the West Region with other B+P practices, as well as with AECOM’s Transportation, Water, Environment and Advisory business lines to support vertical infrastructure and comprehensive solutions. Our Chicago-led client base is global and includes Public Non-Federal, Cultural + Civic, Commercial, Science & Technology, Transit, and Federal clients. Recent/ongoing projects include: Milwaukee County Courthouse; Fermi Welcome Center; CTA Belmont/Irving Park Station Upgrades; Rockford Air Traffic Control Tower; City of Chicago Joint Police and Training Center (JPSTC); JPSTC Emergency Medical Services Addition; Lake County Convention Center.
**What You’ll Do**
You’ll lead across two core areas: BIM and Digital Technology - owning outcomes from pursuit through post-occupancy.
**Project Delivery**
+ Meet with PM for Initial Project Review to discuss deliverables, digital opportunities, Staffing Skills, Technology Goals, and requirements in RFP.
+ Assess project team selected, evaluate skill level and determine if any necessary team training is needed.
+ Ensure every project has an identified Project BIM Lead (BPL).
+ Assist BIM Project Lead (BPL) with BIM Execution Plans.
+ Ensure the use of the latest Revit templates and family libraries.
+ Assist BPL with Project/Model Setup ensuring proper location set up from a civil survey or existing building survey.
+ Assist BPL in Monitoring design models and teams for adherence to BIM Standards.
+ Assist BPL in building any project related content project teams need.
+ Assist in any advanced modeling project teams need.
+ Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced
**Non-Project Specific Related Tasks**
+ Be the in-office primary contact for technical/workflow/file maintenance/application support and advice for our primary BIM platforms.
+ Ensure office wide compliance with AECOM BIM/Digital Standards.
+ Ensure every project has sufficient BIM process oversight.
+ Oversee training and education of staff around digital tools and mentor developing talent within office
+ Host Lunch and Learn educational sessions to continue to grow staff skill levels
+ Represent the firm to external clients, contractors and consultants
+ Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit, BIM and other Digital Technologies
+ Trouble shoot problems.
+ Involvement with Industry Organizations (Autodesk University, AlA Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP) Knowledge Community, etc)
+ Provide technical orientation to New Hires regarding BIM tools
+ Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM; bringing back learning and disseminating the information to appropriate teams
+ Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity (Dynamo)
**Regional Support**
+ Be an integral member of the firmwide BIM/Digital Leadership Team.
+ Assist in documenting and enforcing BIM workflow process standards
+ Support management and identification of software products including new version releases, customization of the product and budgeting.
+ Represent the firm to external clients, contractors and consultants
+ Support IT Manager with installation, upgrades and maintenance of Revit and other BIM related software.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field + 6 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of education/experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 8+ years of relevant experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong understanding of Microsoft Project and Power BI.
+ Strong leadership and communication abilities; proven collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
+ Experience managing BIM projects for complex new-builds and major renovations; large-scale project experience is a plus.
+ Detail-oriented, thorough, well-organized; excellent time management.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
+ Interest or experience in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the A/E service model.
**Additional Information**
+ This position will not offer sponsorship now or in the future.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $160000 to $210000.
